Gregory
(U3O8 Limited 100%)
The Gregory EPM 15058 is located around 200 km west of Townsville and just south of the Gregory uranium prospect in NE QLD.
Gregory has a strong structural control and is hosted by Proterozoic Einsaleigh meta-morphics which have been intruded by a series of fractionated Permian volcanics and comagmatic volcanics. The tenement covers the extension of a major fault zone - the Lynd Mylonite zone, along which the Gregory and Oasis uranium prospects occur to the north of EPM 15058. At the Gregory prospect just north of EPM 15058 stream sampling and prospecting by Afmeco in the early 1980's recorded strongly anomalous uranium (up to 0.35% U3O8).
Extrapolation of the major structure can be observed along strike both influencing geology and mineral occurrences as 25km to the SW the Warren series of polymetallic workings show a similar structural influence but also exhibit a strong hydrothermal system. The scope here is for both secondary and primary style deposits.
