Maureen
(U3O8 Limited 100%)
- Detailed radiometric survey identifies previously unknown uranium mineralisation
The Maureen deposit to the east of U3O8's tenement has an Inferred Resource of 2.4 Mt @ 0.15% U3O8.
There are several other prospects in the area (Turtle Arm, FW5 and FW7) while minor uranium occurrences do occur with the tenement.
The mineralisation occurs as groundmass replacement, with lesser amounts of complete replacement. Uranium, fluorine and molybdenum minerals usually occur together, but as discrete mineral grains. The mineralisation has been strongly controlled by the sedimentary features and in some cases diagenetic ones. In particular, conglomerate has been sought out for replacement, but elsewhere siltstones are completely replaced.
U3O8 Limited has completed a detailed magnetic and radiometric survey over the entire tenement area.

Several significant uranium channel radiometric anomalies were identified. These will require follow up surface sampling, and ground radiometric surveys prior to drilling.
